My Work in the World
Lifelong Learning
I’ve long had a rich practice in continual whole person learning and development. In addition to receiving my Masters Degree in Organization Systems Renewal (OSR at Seattle University) in 2007, I
- Meet colleagues at conferences (Pegasus Systems Thinking in Action, In2:InThinking, OSRAA)
- Stretch myself at specialized trainings or workshops (Compassionate Listening, Art of Hosting, Poetry with David Whyte, Improvisation with Matt Smith)
- Host the First Wednesday Conversation in Olympia
- Am part of the Powers of Leadership seasonal retreat community at The Whidbey Institute
- Serve on the board of Garden Raised Bounty (GRuB) in Olympia
- Read divergently; recently I’ve enjoyed:
Community – The Structure of Belonging, by Peter Block
Chasing the Rabbit by Steven Spear
The Necessary Revolution by Peter Senge, et al.
The Practice of Adaptive Leadership by Ron Hefetz, et al.
A Whole New Mind by Daniel Pink
Thinking in Systems, by Donella Meadows
Presentation Zen by Garr Reynolds
Tribe by Seth Godin
Power and Love by Adam Kahane
The Memory of Fire and Mirrors by Eduardo Galeano
Field Notes on Democracy by Arundhati Roy
- Am learning to speak Spanish
